Awareness and accessibility

The Regional Awareness and Accessibility Program aims to significantly enhance awareness of, and accessibility to the Energy and Water Ombudsman Western Australia's services for regional and Aboriginal Western Australians.

The latest visit in the Program was conducted in Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields-Esperance Region from 2 to 5 December 2019.

The Program is undertaken jointly with the Western Australian Ombudsman, and the visit included:

  • An Information stall and Complaints clinics where members of the public could bring their concerns to us (that they had not been able to resolve directly with the providers of electricity, gas and water services);
  • Meetings with the Aboriginal community; and
  • Visits to, and liaison with, electricity, gas and water services providers and community organisations.
