Exempt class or kind of conduct

The Parliamentary Commissioner for Administrative Investigations (Ombudsman) exempts the following class of employees of the Western Australia Police Force pursuant to section 19N(1) of the Act:

  • All sworn officers of Western Australia Police Force, including members of the Police Force, police auxiliary officers, police cadets and Aboriginal police liaison officers, are hereby exempt from the operation of the Reportable Conduct Scheme as it operates in Western Australia.

Exemption Request Form

Oganisations can request an exemption from commencing or continuing an investigation into reportable conduct. This form is not to request an exemption from notifying the Ombudsman of a reportable allegation or reportable conviction. Organisations must still notify the Ombudsman even if they seek an exemption from investigation.
