What we do

We’re here to listen when something feels unfair in a place run by the WA Government, like:

  • Your school or TAFE - maybe something happened in class or on school grounds.
  • Child protection services - if you feel worried about how something was handled.
  • Your local council - things like libraries, parks, skate parks or youth programs.

When to come to us

First, try telling the school, service or council what went wrong. You could get help from an adult you trust.

If they don’t fix it, we’re the next people who want to hear your story.

What we need from you

To help you properly, it’s great if you can tell us:

  • What happened and when
  • Who you spoke to already
  • How it made you feel and what you’d like to happen next

How to reach us

If things still aren’t sorted, you (or an adult you trust) can:

  • Fill in our online complaint form, or
  • Ring us on the phone

If you need extra help talking to us, someone can support you, or we can organise an interpreter or relay service.

What happens after you tell us

We:

  1. Check how we can help
  2. Talk to the Department or service
  3. Look at both sides fairly
  4. Let you know what we found out
